The Finnish Medical Foundation is delighted to invite you to its symposium on researcher’s career path. The symposium will be organized in connection to the XV doctoral promotion of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Helsinki. Venue: Faculty Club, Biomedicum 1, Haartmaninkatu 8, Helsinki
The opening keynote lecture will be presented by Professor Ramnik Xavier, one of the recipients of the honorary doctorates by the Faculty of Medicine. Professor Ramnik Xavier is the Director of the Center for Computational and Integrative Biology and Core Faculty Member at the Department of Molecular Biology at the Massachusetts General Hospital, and Kurt J. Isselbacher Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School.
The aim of the symposium is to provide young medical doctors and researchers, who have previously been acknowledged for their accomplishments by the Medical Foundation, opportunities to meet with an internationally highly recognized physician-scientist and with peers to exchange advice and experiences considering their research careers. The presentations will address the researchers’ own experiences of their work as a medical researcher, the development of their research fields, and a career paths.
